Completing Seagate Hard Drive Owned Business Acquisition Samsung

A leading manufacturer of hard disk drives, Seagate Technology today announced the completion of the transaction for the acquisition of the business the hard disk drive (HDD) Samsung Electronics. Under the terms of the transaction, Seagate has acquired the option element of Samsung's HDD business, including assets, infrastructure and employees that allow Seagate to scale the business and innovation.
These assets include Samsung's leading product lines, high-capacity 2.5-inch HDD, Samsung M8. Samsung's employees will join Seagate includes a number of senior managers and technical staff designs of Samsung's Korean facility, which will focus on product development of small form components (small form-factor) for the mobile computing market.

Transactions with a combined value of approximately USD 1.4 billion was originally announced in April 2011 along with a series of other agreements between Seagate and Samsung. Supplying Seagate disk drives for PC peripherals, notebooks and consumer electronic devices Samsung. Samsung supplies the semi-conductor products for use in products SSD (solid state drive) Seagate, hybrid solid-state drives and other Seagate products.
